CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 2007 (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 1st May, 2007.

I, MICHEÁL MARTIN, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007), hereby order as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (Establishment Day) Order 2007.

2. The 1st day of May 2007 is appointed to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order appoints the 1st day of May 2007 as the establishment day for the National Consumer Agency. Section 6 of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007) provides for the appointment of this date by order of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment.
