I, Michael Woods, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 40 (1) of the Education Act, 1998 (No 51 of 1998), following consultation with the persons specified in that section, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Education Act, 1998 (Composition of National Council for Curriculum and Assessment) Order, 2001.

2. The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment shall be composed of the persons specified in the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE

1. One Chairperson

2. 2 Vice-Chairpersons

3. One Nominee of the Minister for Education and Science

4. One Representative of the Joint Managerial Body

5. One Representative of the Irish Vocational Education Association

6. One Representative of the Catholic Primary Schools Managers Association

7. One Representative of the Church of Ireland Board of Education

8. 2 Representatives of the Association of Secondary Teachers, Ireland

9. 2 Representatives of the Teachers Union of Ireland

10. 2 Representatives of the Irish National Teachers Organisation

11. One Representative of the Irish Federation of University Teachers

12. One Representative of the Irish Business and Employers Confederation

13. One Representative of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions

14. One Representative of the Association of Community & Comprehensive Schools

15. One Representative of the National Parents Council (Primary)

16. One Representative of the National Parents Council (Post-Primary)

17. 2 Representatives of the Department of Education and Science
