Want of notice - Variation of amount - Criminal Injuries (Ireland) Act, 1920, c. 66 (2) - Criminal Injuries (Ireland) Rules, 1919, r. 15.

Where an applicant for compensation under the Criminal Injuries (Ireland) Acts obtains a decree in the County Court, and does not appeal, he may, at the hearing of an appeal brought by a local authority have his compensation increased beyond the amount originally awarded, even where this was already the full amount claimed by him in his notices.
