Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 9th October, 2012.

WHEREAS the Joint Labour Committee was established by an Establishment Order dated 18th August 2008 and made by the Labour Court under Part IV of the Industrial Relations Act 1946 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and operating in relation to workers and employers specified in the Schedule to that Establishment Order;

AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 40 of the Act by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation for an Order abolishing the Clothing Joint Labour Committee;

AND WHEREAS the requirements of Section 40 of the Act have been complied with in respect of such application;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Labour Court in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 40 of the Act, hereby orders as follows:

(1) The Clothing Joint Labour Committee is hereby abolished.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on 12th day of October 2012.

(3) This Order may be cited as the Clothing Joint Labour Committee (Abolition) Order 2012.
