CONSUMER CREDIT ACT, 1995 (SECTION 86) REGULATIONS, 1996.

I, RICHARD BRUTON, Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 86 of the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (No. 24 of 1995), hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (Section 86) Regulations, 1996. 2. Section 84 of the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 (No. 24 of 1995), is hereby amended by the substitution in—

( a ) subsection (1) (a) (ii) of "hirer" for "buyer",

( b ) subsection (1) (b) (ii) of "owner" for "seller", and

( c ) subsection (5) (a) of "owner" for "seller".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations correct an error in terminology in section 84 of the Consumer Credit Act, 1995 .
