I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(2) of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (No. 26 of 2006) hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (Commencement (No. 2) Order 2006. 2. In this Order “Act of 2006” means the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (No. 26 of 2006). 3. The 16th day of October 2006 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2006 shall come into operation:

(a) sections 120, 121(a), 128, 129 and 130, and
