Competition Authority clears the acquisition of Vion Pork

Business by Endless

The Competition Authority has cleared the proposed transaction whereby

Endless LLP would acquire the entire issued share capital of each of Vion Food

UK Limited, Vion McGee ROI Limited and Vion ICT Services Limited from Vion

Food Group. The transaction was notified by t he parties under the

Competition Act 2002 on 13 December 2012.

The Authority has formed the view that the proposed transaction wi ll not lead

to a subs tantial lessening of competition in any markets for goods or services

in the State. The Authority will p ublish a public version of the reasons for its

determination on its website (www.tca.ie) no later than 22 February 2013

after allowing the parties the opportunity to request that confidential

information is removed from the published vers ion.
