Competition and Consumer Protection Commission clears proposed acquisition by

DCC Energy Limited/Emo Oil of sole control of Campus Oil Limited

3 February 2020

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has cleared the proposed transaction

whereby DCC Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DCC Public Limited Company would

acquire sole control of Campus Oil Limited and i ts subsidiaries. The proposed transaction was

notified under the Competition Act 2002, as amended, on 22 December 2020.

The Commission has formed the view that the proposed transaction will not substantially lessen

competition in any market for goods or servi ces in the State. T he Commission will publish the

reasons for its determination on its website no later than 60 working days after the date of the

determination and after allowing the parties the opportunity to request that confidential

information be removed from the published version.

Additional Information

DCC plc is an Irish company whose shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange. DCC

Energy/Emo Oil is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DCC plc and is part of DCC's Retail & Oil division

which is involved in the sale, marketing and retail of transport fuels and commercial fuels,

heating oils and related products and services in Europe and elsewhere.

Campus Oil Limited is a fuel distribution company operating in Ireland, headquartered in Bray,

Co. Wicklow. Campus Oil supplies all grades of oil to sm aller distributors/resellers, commercial

enterprises and domestic customers as well as to dealer-owned retail fuelling stations.
