MERGER ANNOUNCEMENT - M/21/010

Competition and Consumer Protection Commission clears proposed acquisition by

GR Wind Farms 1 Limited of Cordal Windfarm Holdings Limited and its

subsidiaries, Cordal Windfarms Limited and Oak Energy Supply Limited.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition

by GR Wind Farms 1 Limited of: (i) the entire share capital of Cordal Windfarm Holdings Limited;

and (ii) all of the issued shares not already owned by Cordal Windfarm Holdings Limited of each

of its subsidiaries, namely Cordal Windfarms Limited and Oak Energy Supply Limited. The

proposed transaction was notified under the Competition Act 2002, as amended, on 4 March

2021.

The Commission has formed the view that the proposed transaction will not substantially lessen

competition in any market for goods or services in the State. The Commission will publish the

reasons for its determination on its website no later than 60 working days after the date of the

determination and after allowing the parties the opportunity to request that confidential

information be removed from the published version.

Additional Information

GR Wind Farms 1 Limited is a direct subsidiary of Greencoat Renewables 1 Holdings Limited,

which is, in turn, a direct subsidiary of Greencoat Renewables PLC. Greencoat Renewables PLC

owns and operates renewable infrastructure energy assets in the State and France.

Cordal Windfarm Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries, Cordal Windfarms L imited and Oak

Energy Supply Limited own and operate Cordal Windfarm in Cordal, Co. Kerry.
