Competition and Consumer Protection Commission clears the proposed acquisition by
Attestor Capital ICAV of the property and business known as Reardens of Washington
Street and the property and business known as the Oliver Plunkett and of the of the
property and business known as Chambers Bar

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has today cleared the proposed transaction
whereby whereby Attestor Capital ICAV, acting for and on behalf of its sub-fund Attestor Hospitality
Portfolio, would acquire the property and business known as Reardens of Washington Street and the
property and business known as the Oliver Plunkett from Kmont Property Holdings Limited, and would
acquire the property and business known as Chambers Bar from Radius Pie Limited. The proposed
transaction was notified under the Competition Act 2002, as amended, on 24 April 2024.
The Commission has formed the view that the proposed transaction will not substantially lessen
competition in any market for goods or services in the State. The Commission will publish the reasons
for its determination on its website no later than 60 working days after the date of the determination
and after allowing the parties the opportunity to request that confidential information be removed
from the published version.
Additional Information
Attestor Capital ICAV is connected to Attestor Value Master Fund LP, which is registered in the Cayman
Islands. Attestor Value Master Fund LP is also connected to Attestor Limited, an investment
management company which is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.
In the State, Attestor Capital commenced trading in the hospitality related sector in May 2021 and
now owns eight bars and two hotels in County Dublin.
Reardens of Washington Street comprises a bar and three nightclubs in a four-storey building at 24-
26 Washington St, Cork.
