Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3, 12 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food) (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order) 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) (Amendment) Order 2010.

2. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2008 ) is amended—

(a) by the insertion, after Article 4. (6), of—

“(7)This Article does not apply in the case of notification of swine influenza.”, and

(a) by the substitution for the Schedule, of—

2. African swine fever

3. Anthrax

4. Arizona disease

5. Aujeszky’s disease

6. Bovine leukosis

7. Brucellosis in ruminating animals (except cattle) and swine

8. Campylobacteriosis (caused by or involving Campylobacter jejuni)

9. Caprine viral arthritis — encephalitis

10. Caseous lymphadenitis

11. Classical swine fever

12. Contagious agalactia

13. Contagious bovine pleuro-pneumonia

14. Contagious equine metritis

15. Diseases of poultry caused by or involving Yersinia spp

16. Dourine

17. Enzootic abortion of ewes

18. Epizootic haemorrhagic disease of deer

19. Epizootic lymphangitis in horses, asses and mules

20. Equine encephalomyelitis

21. Equine infectious anaemia

22. Equine piroplasmosis

23. Equine viral arteritis

24. Fowl pest (other than avian influenza and Newcastle disease)

25. Fowl typhoid (Salmonella gallinarum)

26. Glanders (farcy) in horses, asses or mules
