I, MICHEÁL MARTIN, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Education Act, 1998 (No. 51 of 1998), hereby order as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the Education Act, 1998 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1999.

2. The 23rd day of December, 1999, is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 7 , 9, 14 , 15 , 16 , 17 , 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 27 , 28 , 30 , 31 , 33 , 34 , 35 , and Part VII of the Education Act, 1998 (No. 51 of 1998) shall come into operation.
