I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Employment Equality Act, 1998 (No. 21 of 1998), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Employment Equality Act, 1998 (Commencement) Order, 1999.

2. The 18th day of October, 1999, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Employment Equality Act, 1998 , shall come into operation.
