ENTERPRISE AND EMPLOYMENT (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER, 1997

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Enterprise and Employment (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 12th day of July, 1997. 2. The name of the Department of State, the present name whereof is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Fiontar agus Fostaíochta and in the English language, the Department of Enterprise and Employment is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta and in the English language, to that of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. 3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Fiontar agus Fostaíochta and, in the English language, the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. 4. In any enactment—

( a ) references to the Department of Enterprise and Employment shall be construed as references to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment;

( b ) references to the Minister for Enterprise and Employment shall be construed as references to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. 5. The reference in section 70 (5) (e) of the Corporation Tax Act, 1976 (No. 7 of 1976), to the Minister for Tourism and Trade shall be construed as a reference to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
