EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (LICENSING OF DRIVERS) REGULATIONS, 1989. |

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 80/1263/EEC hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1989. 2. A reference in the Road Traffic Acts, 1961 to 1984, to a class of mechanically propelled vehicles shall be construed as a reference to a class or category of such vehicles and cognate words and expressions shall be construed accordingly. 3.
