Irish Standards based on adopted European Standards (ENs) published
between 1961 and 1998 under the Industrial Research and Standards
Act 1961, the Science and Technology Act 1978 and the National
Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 remain current until revised
by European Organizations responsible for them.
These standards (where they have been revised) are hereby revoked
and details of their replacement standards are available on the NSAI

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine has made
determinations in relation to the Foreshore Licence applications listed

A person may question the validity of the Foreshore Licence
determination by way of an application for judicial review, under
Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Court (SI No. 15 of 1986).
Practical information on the review mechanism can be obtained from

EUROPEAN UNION (BIRDS AND NATURAL HABITATS)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2021.
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Birds and
Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 477 of 2011) (‘the Principal
Regulations’) to ensure impartiality where the Minister proposes to
undertake an activity, plan or project for which the Minister also has
the function of granting consent.
They amend the Principal Regulations to conrm that a public
authority must invite the opinion of the public when undertaking an
appropriate assessment and clarify that the provisions for restoration
of land apply in all cases of damage to a European site, including
damage arising from an activity, plan or project that requires consent
under any other statutory regime.
