CONTROL OF FISHING FOR SALMON (AMENDMENT)
ORDER 2025
The Min ister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, in
exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 29 of the Fisheries
(Amendment) Act 1962 (No. 31 of 1962), has made the above Or der.
This Order amends the Control of Fishing for Salmon Order 2021 (S.I.
No. 102 of 2021) by substitution of new Sc hedules for Schedule 1 and
Schedule 2. This Order auth orises the issue of commercial fishing
licences by Inland Fisheries Ireland and sets out the criteria under which
those licences may be issued and prescribes the maximum nu mber of
commercial licences which may be issued.

COUNTRY) ORDER 2025
The Minister for Justice has made the Order above under subsection (1)
of section 72A of the International Protection Act 2015 (No. 66 of 2015)
(as adapted by the Ju stice and Equality (Alteration of Name of
Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 (S.I. No. 452 of 2020)),
and being satisfied, in accordance with the said section 72A.
This Order d esignates the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland as a safe third country for the purposes of the
International Protection Act 2015.

AIR POLLUTION ACT 1987 (SOLID FUELS) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS 2025
The original regulation SI 529 of 2022 - Air Pollution Act 1987 (Solid
Fuels) Regulations 2022 proposed that coal products and manufactured
solid fuels, including manufactured part b iomass products, must have
sulphur content less than 1% by weight on a dry ash-free basis from the
1st of September 2025, subject to a market assessment.
Following a market assessment, it was determined that it was not
appropriate to reduce the sulphur level at this point and instead it should
be re-assessed before September 20 30. As such this provision is being
amended in this regulation.

In exercise of the powers conferred on him by the National Standards
Authority of Ireland Act 1996, the Minister Enterprise, Tourism and
Employment, Peter Burke T.D., has appointed M s Gemma Barrett and
Mr Eunan Cunningham, with effect from 5th March 2025, as Members
of the Board of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine by virtue of the
powers conferred on him by Section 30 of the Land Act, 1950 and
Section 7 of the Land Act, 2005 h as consented to the disposal of the
above lands by means of their transfer to Fenagh GAA Club. As a result
of this transfer the trust set up under the Land Acts has ceased to be
operative.
Any person claiming to have suffered loss within the meaning of
Section 30 of the Land Act 1950 as a result of such disposal may apply,
within six months of the date of publication of this notice, to the
Department of Agricultur e, Food and the Marine for compensation in
respect of such loss.
Applications for compensation, pursuant to this Notice may be made to
the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Lands Branch,
Farnham Street, Cavan.
