IRISH STANDARD REVOCATIONS
Irish Standards based on adopted European Standards (ENs) published
between 1961 and 1998 under the Industr ial Research and Standards
Act 1961, the Science and Technology Act 1978 and the National
Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 remain current until revised by
European Organizations responsible for them.
These standards (where they have been revised) are hereby revoked and
details of their replacement standards are available on the NSAI website
(www.nsai.ie).

EUROPEAN UNION (DE MINIMIS AID IN THE
AGRICULTURE SECTOR) REGULATIONS 2025
The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Mr. Martin Heydon,
has made a Statutory Instrument under section 3 of the European
Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) for the purpose of giving effect
to Commission Regulation (EU) No 1408/2013 of 18 December 2013,
Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/316 of 21 February 2 019,
Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/2046 of 24 October 2022 and
Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/2391 of 4 October 2023.
This order provides for the establishment and maintenance o f an
Agriculture De Minimis aid database and for the transmission of
agriculture de minimis aid data to the Department of Agriculture, Food
and the Marine for recording on the database within the meaning of
Article 4 of the Data Protection Regulation and section 69 o f the Data
Protection Act 201 8).

COURTS, CIVIL LAW, CRIMINAL LAW AND
SUPERANNUATION (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT
2024 (PART 3) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2025
The Minister for Justice has made the Order above in exercise of the
powers conferred by section 1(2) of the Courts, Civil Law, Criminal
Law and Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 (No. 30
of 2024).
The Order provides for the commencement of P art 3 of the above Act,
relating to the servicing o f notices or documents. Part 3 also amends
Section 19 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956. Section
19 empowers the Minister to revoke a certificate of naturalisation, and
the amendments set out in this Order ensure that the revocation process
is impartial and independent.
The Order comes into operation on 7 April 2025.

IRISH NATIONALITY AND CITIZENSHIP ACT 1956
(REVOCATION OF CERTIFICATE OF NATURALISATION)
(PRESCRIBED FORMS) REGULATIONS 2025
The Minister for Justice has made these Regulations under section 3 of
the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 (No. 26 of 1956) (as
adapted by the Justice and Equality (Alteration of Name of Department
and Title of Minister) Order 2020 (S.I. No. 452 of 2020)).
The Regulations set out a number of forms that are prescribed in the
amended Section 19 of the Act, specifically, a Notice of Intention to
Revoke Citizenship and a Request for a Committee of Inquiry). These
forms are essential elements of the revised revocation o f naturalisation
process, provided for via Part 3 of the Courts, Civil Law, Criminal Law
and Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024.
The Regulations come into operation on 7 April 2025.
