IRISH STANDARD REVOCATIONS
Irish Standards based on adopted European Standards (ENs) published
between 1961 and 1998 under the Industr ial Research and Standards
Act 1961, the Science and Technology Act 1978 and the National
Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 remain current until revised by
European Organizations responsible for them.
These standards (where they have been revised) are hereby revoked and
details of their replacement standards are available on the NSAI website
(www.nsai.ie).

PHYSIOTHERAPISTS REGISTRATION BOARD APPROVED
QUALIFICATIONS BYE-LAW 2025
The Physiotherapists Registration Board, in exercise of the powers
conferred on it by section 31 of the Health and Social Care
Professionals Act 2005 (as amended), with the approval of the Health
and Social Care Professionals Council and the Minister for Health,
hereby makes the following bye-law:
This bye-law may be cited as the Physiotherapists Registration Board
Approved Qualifications Bye-Law 2025.
This bye-law identifies the q ualifications awarded in the State which
are approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board as attesting to
the standard of proficiency required for registration in the General
Division of the Register of Physiotherapists and the Referral for
Radiological Diagnostic Procedures Division o f the Register of
Physiotherapists.

REGULATIONS 2025
The Minister for transport in exercise of the powers conferred on him
by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972)
and for the purpose of giving full effect to Regulation (EC) No
561/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March
2006, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2024/1258 of the European
Parliament and of the Council of 24 April 2024, has made the
Regulations entitled as above.

IMMIGRATION ACT 2004 (VISAS) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2)
ORDER 2025
The Minister for Justice has made the Order above und er section 17 of
the Immigration Act 2004 (No. 1 of 2004) (as adapted by the Justice
and Equality (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister)
Order 2020 (S.I. No. 452 of 2020)).
This Order amends the Immigration Act 2004 (Visas) Order 2014. The
Order imposes a requirement for nationals of Trinidad and Tobago to
obtain a visa in order to be granted authorisation to land in the State, as
well as to obtain a transit visa in order to be granted authorisation to
arrive at a port in the State for purposes of passing through the port in
order to travel to another state.
The Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025.

of the Council of 19 November 2007 on waste and repealing certain
Directives.

Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 513 of 2012) to include a definition of the
Minister and to give further effect to Directive 2011/65/EU of the
European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the
restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment, as amended.

APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF THE NATIONAL
STANDARDS AUTHORITY OF IRELAND
In exercise of the powers conferred on him by the National Standards
Authority of Ireland Act 1996, the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and
Employment, Peter Burke T.D., has reappointed Mr Raymond Alcorn,
Mr Dermot Casey, and Ms Mary Cronin, with effect from 29th April
2025, as Members of the Board of the National Standards Authority of
Ireland (NSAI).
In exercise of the powers con ferred on her by the National Standards
Authority of Ireland Act 1996, the then Minister of State for Business,
Employment and Retail, Emer Higgins, T.D., appointed Mr Barry Cox
and Mr Gareth Lopez, with effect from 5thNovember 2024, as Members
of the Board of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).
