European Organizations responsible for them.

These Regulations make amendments to regulation 38(2) of S.I. 274 of
2025, and provides that regulations 6, 12, 14 and 18 of S.I. 274 of 2025
come into effect on or after the 1 May 2026, rather than 1 October 2025.

TO WHOM IT CONCERNS
The Revenue Commissioners hereby give notice pursuant to Section
142 of the Finance Act 2001 that on 4th April 2025, one Jaguar XF
motor vehicle, bearing identification mark MF170FX was seized by
Officers of the Revenue Commissioners under Section 141(1) of the
Finance Act 2001 on the grounds that it was liable to forfeiture under
Section 139(6) of the Finance Act 1992.
Your attention is drawn to the Provisions of Section 127 of the Finance
Act 200 1 as amended by Section 46(1)(b) of the Finance Act, 2011
which states as follows
A person who claims that anything seized as liable to forfeiture is not
so liable (referred to in this Section as the “claimant”) may, within one
month of the date of th e notice of seizure or, where no such notice has
been given to the claimant, within one month of the date of the seizure,
give notice in writing of such claim to the Commissioners. A notice of
claim shall specify the full name and address of the claimant and the
basis on which the claim is grounded.
Any such claim should be directed to the National Prosecutions &
Seizures Office, High Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, quoting Ref.
No. VRT 315947.

Fisheries Management Notice No. 56 of 2025
(2025 Northern Albacore Tuna Quota Management Notice)
I, Timmy Dooley, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture,
Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 12 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No.
8 of 2006) and the Agriculture, Food and the Marine (Delegation of
Ministerial Functions) (No. 2 ) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 368 of 2025),
hereby issue the following Notice:
1.1This Notice is Northern Albacore Tuna Quota Management Notice
2025 (Fisheries Management Notice No.56 of 2025).
1.2This Notice comes into force on 17.00 hours on 25 September
2025 and ceases to have effect on 31 December 2025.
2In this Notice:
Northern Albacore Tuna means Thunnus alalunga;
“specified area” means Atlantic Ocean, north of 5° N
3(a) The master of an Irish sea-fishing boat authorised under
section 13 of t he Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act for
Northern Albacore Tuna authorised to use the gear “Pair –
Pelagic” in section 5 of the authorisation shall not engage in or
cause or permit any p erson on board to engage in fishing activity
for northern albacore tuna in the specified area with effect from
17.00 hours on 25 September 2025.
(b) By way of derogation from paragraph 3 (a), an Irish sea-
fishing boat may retain northern alba core tuna onboard and land
before 17.00 hours on 27 September 2025.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a
legal interpretation)
This Notice prohibits fishing for northern albacore tuna by Irish sea-
fishing boats that have been authorised to fish by means of “Pair –
Pelagic” fishing gear with effect from 17.00 hours on 25 September
2025 but allows retention on board and landing of northern albacore
tuna before 1 7.00 hours on 27 September 2025. However, the fishery
remains open for vessels that have been authorised to fish for northern
albacore tuna where the authorisation does not permit the vessel to fish
by means of “Pair – Pelagic” fishing gear.
