CONTROL OF EXPORTS (NATIONAL MILITARY EXPORT

CONTROL LIST) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2025

The Min ister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and

Employment, Niamh Smyth, in exercise of the powers conferred on her

by section 23 of the Control of Exports Act 2023 (No. 27 of 2023), and

the Enterprise, Tourism and E mployment (Delegation of Ministerial

Functions) (No.2) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 241 o f 2025), has made

Regulations that may b e cited as the Control of Exports (National

Military Export Control List) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.

These Regulations give effect to Commission Delegated Regulation

(EU) 2024/2547 of 5 September 2024 amending Regulation

(EU) 2021/821 of the European Parliament and of the Council as

regards the list of dual-use items.

The Regulations revoke the Control of Exports (National military

export control list) Regulations 2024 (S.I. No. 416/2024).

The Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, in exercise of

the powers conferred on h im by section 2B of the Data Protection Act

1988, has made the regulations as entitled above.

These Regulations authorise the processing of sensitive personal data

by the Minister for the purpose of assisting the Omagh Bombing Inquiry

in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding agreed between

the Minister, on behalf of the Government, and the Chairman of the

Inquiry on 15 April 2025 on matters relating to the disclosure of

materials.
