The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine by virtue of the

powers conferred on him by Section 30 of the Land Act, 1950 and

Section 7 of the Land Act, 2005 h as consented to the disposal of the

above land by means of their transfer to Ruan GAA Club. As a result

of this transfer the trust set up under the Land Acts has ceased to be

operative.

Any person claiming to have suffered loss within the meaning of

Section 30 of the Land Act, 1950 as a result of such disposal may apply,

within six months of the date of publication of this notice, to the

Department of Agricultur e, Food and the Marine for compensation in

respect of such loss.

Applications for compensation, pursuant to this notice may be made to

Lands Branch, Legal Services Division, Department of Agriculture,

Food and the Marine, Farnham Street, Cavan.

NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN TO THE

BOARD OF THE BOOKMAKERS APPEAL COMMITTEE

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Agriculture,

Food and the Marine by Section 56 of the Irish Horseracing Industry

Act, 1994,(No. 18 of 1994), Mr Louis Masterson has been appointed

Chairman of the Bookmakers App eal Committee for a term of 3 years

with effect from 5 February 2026.

HIGHER EDUCATION AUTHORITY

In accordance with Section 16 of the Higher Education Authority Act

2022, the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research,

Innovation and Science has appointed the following members to the

Governing board of the Higher Education Authority:

Dr. Ryan Feeney

Dr. Niamh O’Reilly

The term of office for each of the members will commence on 29th

January 2026 for a period of 4 years ending on 28th January 2030.
