European Organizations responsible for them.

OF DEFECTIVE CONCRETE BLOCKS (AMENDMENT) ACT
2025 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2026
The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James
Browne TD, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(2)
of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective
Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (No. 20 of 2025), has made
the Order as entitled above.
This Order appoints the 25th day of February 2026 as the day on which
the following provisions of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged By
the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (No. 20
of 2025), shall come into operation:
a) sections 1 to 4;
b) section 5(b);
c) section 6;
d) sections 8 to 13;
e) section 14(d);
f) section 16;
g) sections 19 and 20;
h) sections 22 to 28;
i) sections 32 and 33;
j) section 37;
k) section 39.

TAXI REGULATION (SMALL PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLE)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026
The principal purpose of these Regulations is to amend Regulatio n 31
of the Taxi Regulation (Small Public Service Vehicle) Regulations
2015 (as amended) in relation to its maximum permissible age
requirements with respect to vehicles registered during 2015 that are
used as taxis and which otherwise would be due to reach their maximum
permissible age in 2025. The amendment extends that maximum
permitted service life of such a taxi by twelve months.

regulations allow for the deployment of vehicles that are mechanically
propelled and have been designed, constructed, adapted or modified to
move autonomously for certain periods of time but in respect o f which
driver intervention is still required.
