PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY OF IRELAND
(EDUCATION AND TRAINING) (INTEGRATED COURSE)
(AMENDMENT) RULES 2026
The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, in exercise of
the functions conferred on the said Society by section 11 (as amended
by section 11 of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024 (No.
23 of 2024)) of the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007), (as adapted
by the Health and Children (Alteration of Name of Department and
Title of Minister) Order 2011 (S.I. No. 219 of 2011)) and for the
purpose of giving further effect to Directive 2005/36/EC of the
European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 20051, as
amended by Commission Delegated Directive (EU) of 4 March
20242, with the consent of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the
following rules:
1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Pharmaceutical Society of
Ireland (Education and Training) (Integrated Course)
(Amendment) Rules 2026.
(2) The Principal Rules, Rule 14 of the Pharmaceutical Society
of Ireland (Continuing Professional Development) Rules 2015
(S.I. No. 553 of 2015), the Pharmaceutical So ciety of Ireland
(Education and Training) (Integrated Course) (Amendment)
Rules 2017 (S.I. No. 97 of 2017), the Pharmaceutical Society of
Ireland (Education and Training) (Integrated Course)
(Amendment) Rules 20 20 (S.I. No. 148 of 2020), the Rules of

Circuit Court Rules (Donor-Assisted Human Reproduction)
2026
These rules update Order 59 Rule 27A to facilitate commencement of
section 232(b), (c) and (d) of the Health (Assisted Human
Reproduction) Act 2024 which amends th e Children and Family
Relationships Act 2015 by extending the court’s jurisdiction to make
a declaration of parentage to cases where the procedure was carried
out in a non-clinical setting and to cases where the donor is known
and consents to the declaration, or is deceased, or cannot reasonably
be located.

ELECTRICITY REGULATION ACT 1999 (GAS WORKS)
REGULATIONS 2026
These Regulations repeal and replace the arrangements put in place
by the Electricity Regulation Act 1999 (Gas Works) Regulations
2009 (S.I. No. 225 of 2009) and the Electricity Regulation Act 1999
(Liquefied Petroleum Gas Works) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 299 of
2011). The Commission for Regulation of Utilities, in exercise of the
powers conferred on it under Section 9G of the Electricity Regulation
Act 1999 (No. 23 of 1999), as amended by the Energy (Miscellaneous
Provisions) Act 2006 (No. 40 of 2006), having taken into account the
matters raised in the public consultation pro cess carried out by the
Commission under Section 9G (1) of that Act and with the consent of
the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment designates a
class of works to be gas works for the purposes of Section 9G(3) of
that Act. These Regulations define gas works as any works relating
to the installation, removal, repair, or replacement of a natural ga s
fitting, an LPG fitting, or certain appliances, which fittings and
appliances are used, designed, or intended to be used by a gas
customer, be it in a Domestic or Commercial premises in which the
fittings or appliances are located. Gas works that fall under the classes
of works above, can only be carried out by persons designated under
Section 9G (3) of that Act.

Regulations 2026
The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke,
T.D., in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the
European Communities Act 1972 (No 27 of 1972), has made
Regulations that may be cited as the European Union (Restrictive
Measures concerning Sudan) (No.2) Regulations 2026.
These Regulations provide for the enforcement of restrictive
measures contained in Council Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2147,
regarding restrictive measures concerning Sudan. The Regulations
provide that competent authorities of the State may issue directions
