CRIMINAL JUSTICE (FORENSIC EVIDENCE AND DNA

DATABASE SYSTEM) ACT 2014 (SECTION 110)

(DESIGNATION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA)

ORDER 2026

This Order designates the United States of America for the purposes

of cooperation regarding automated searching for or automated

comparison of DNA data or dactyloscopic data, as the case may be,

and the exchange of such data and the reference data relating to them,

by or between the State and the United States of America under

Chapters 1 to 4 and 7 of Part 12 of the Criminal Justice (Forensic

Evidence and DNA Database System) Act 2014 (No. 11 of 2014), in

accordance with the Agreement between the Government o f Ireland

and the Government of the United States of America on Enhancing

Cooperation in Preventing and Combating Serious Crime, done at

Dublin on 21 July 2011.

TO WHOM IT CONCERNS

The Revenue Commissioners hereby give no tice pursuant to Section

142 of the Finance Act 2 001 that on 12th January, 2026 one P eugeot

308 motor vehicle, bearing identification mark KD16 OKT was

seized by Officers of the Revenue Commissioners under Section

141(1) of the Finance Act 2001 on the grounds that it was liable to

forfeiture under Section 139(6) of the Finance Act, 1992.

Your attention is drawn to the Provisions of Section 127 of the

Finance Act 2001 as amended by Section 46(1)(b) of the Finance Act,

2011 which states as follows

A person who claims that anything seized as liable to forfeiture is not

so liable (referred to in this Section as the “claimant”) may, within

one month of the date of the notice of seizure or, where no such notice

has been given to the cla imant, within one month of the date of the

seizure, give notice in writing of such claim to the Commissioners. A

notice of claim shall specify the full name and address of the claimant

and the basis on which the claim is grounded.

Any such claim should be directed to the National Prosecutions &

Seizures Office, High Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, quoting Ref.

No. VRT 327884.
