IRISH STANDARD REVOCATIONS
Irish Standards based on adopted European Standards (ENs)
published between 1961 and 1998 under the Industrial Research and
Standards Act 1961, the Science and Technology Act 1978 and the
National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 remain current until
revised by European Organizations responsible for them.
These standards (where they have been revised) are hereby revoked
and details of their replacement standards are available on the NSAI

EUROPEAN UNION (GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICE
FOR PROTECTION OF WATERS) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS 2026
These Regulations amend the European Union (Good Agricultural
Practice for Protection of Waters) Regulations 2025. The purpose of
the amendment is to give effect to the Commission Implementing
Decision of 22 December 2025 on granting a derogation requested by
Ireland pursuant to Council Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the
protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from
agricultural sources. In addition, th ey make minor amendments to
Articles 4 , 8, 15, 17, 18, 24, and Table 7, 13 and 14 of the 2025
Regulations.

CIVIL LAW (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 2022
(SECTION 4(2)) (SCHEME TERMINATION DATE) ORDER
2026
The Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, in exercise of
the powers conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 4 of the
Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2022 (No. 19 of 2022) and
the Integration and Reception (Transfer of Departmental
Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 159
of 2025) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of
Department and Title of Minister) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 242 of 2025)),
following consultation with the Minister for Social Protection and the
Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service
Reform and Digitalisation, has made the Order entitled as above.
The Order amends section 4(1) of the Act of 2022 to extend the
“scheme termination date” for the financial contribution payable in
respect of an eligible dwelling used to accommodate temporary
protection beneficiaries to 31 March 2027.

ACT 2026 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2026
The Minister for Climate, Energ y and the Environment, Darragh
O'Brien TD, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2
of the National Oil Reserves Agency ( Amendment) Act 2026 (No. 6
of 2026), has made the Order as entitled above.
This Order appoints the 1st day of April 2026 as the day on which the
National Oil Reserves Agency (Amendment) Act 20 26 (No. 6 of
2026), shall come into operation.

EUROPEAN UNION (EMPOWERING CONSUMERS FOR
THE GREEN TRANSITION) REGULATIONS 2026
The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke
TD, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the
European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the
purpose of giving effect to Directive (EU) 2024/825 of the European
Parliament and of the Council of 28 February and giving further effect
to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 of 25
September 2025 has made regulations entitled as above.
The p urpose of these Regulations is to give ef fect to Commission
Regulation (EU) 2024/825 of the 28 February 2024 as regards
empowering consumers for the green transition through better
protection against unfair practices and through better information.
The amendments introduced by these Regulations enhance
transparency, ensure that consumers receive accurate and reliable
information on environmental attributes, durability, and reparability
of goods, and prohibit misleading or unsubstantiated practices,
thereby sup porting consumers in making informed and sustainable
purchasing decisions.
