Standards Act 1961, the Science and Technology Act 1978 and the

revised by European Organizations responsible for them.
These standards (where they have been revised) are hereby revoked

WILD SALMON AND SEA TROUT TAGGING SCHEME
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026
These Regulations amend the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging
Scheme Regulations 2018 (S.I. No. 585 of 2018) by specifying th e
quotas of fish that can be harvested during the 2026 season by
commercial fishing engines, and rod and line, from those rivers
identified in Schedule 2. These Regulations also p rovide for the
number of Blue Tags available per angler in the 2026 season and for
the use of brown tags in specified rivers which are identified in
Schedule 4.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT (SHORT TERM
LETTING - PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026
The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Mr James
Browne T.D., has made Regulations entitled as above.
The Regulations are made u nder sections 262 (1) and 3A(2) of the
Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.
The Regulations provide for an amendment to article 6 of the
Planning and Development Regulations 2001. It deletes all references
to rent pressure zones such that the exemption from planning
permission for change of use to a short term let for a principal private
residence applied nationwide and is not d ependent on the
geographical designation of rent pressure zones.
The Regulations also provide for the revocation of S.I. 72 of 2026.

by Regulation (EU) No 538/2014 of the Euro pean Parliament and of
the Council of 16 April 2014, Commission Delegated Regulation

Notice of Publication of a Code of Practice
The Health and Safety Authority, with the consent of Alan Dillon,
Minister of State at the Department of Ent erprise, Tourism and
Employment, publishes this Code of Practice entitled “Safety, Health
and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents) Regulations and Safety,
Health and Welfare at Work (Carcinogens, Mu tagens & Reprotoxic
Substances) Regulations (CMRS)”, in accordance with section 60 of
the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (No. 10 of 2005).
This Code of Practice provides practical guidance as to the
observance of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical
Agents) Regulations 2001 (S.I. No. 619 of 2001), as amended by the
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents)
(Amendment) Regulations 2015 (S.I. No. 623 o f 2015) and the
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents)
(Amendment) Regulations 2021 (S.I. No. 231 o f 2021) and the
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents)
(Amendment) Regulations 2026 (S.I. No. 127 of 2026) (hereinafter
collectively referred to as the ‘Chemical Agents Regulations’) and the
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Carcinogens, Mutagens and
Reprotoxic Substances) Regulations 2024 (S.I. No. 122 of 2024)
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Carcinogens, Mutagens and
Reprotoxic Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 (S.I. No.
128 of 2026) (hereinafter referred to as the ‘CMRS Regulations’) in
relation to occupational exposure limit values (OELVs) for a number
of chemical agents as listed in Schedule 1 to the Code, having regard
to the provisions of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
This Code of Practice comes into operation on 9th April 2026 and
from that date it replaces the “2024 Code of Practice for the Chemical
Agents Regulations a nd the Carcinogens Regulations” which was
issued in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act
2005.

ANGLING BYE-LAW NO. 1022, 2026
I, TIMMY DOOLEY, Minister of State at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, in exercise of the powers
conferred on me by section 57 of the Inland Fisheries Act 2010 (No. 10 of 2010), (as adapted by the Environment, Climate
and Communications (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 235 of 2025)) and the
Climate, Energy and the Environment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2025 (S.I. No. 384 of 2025), hereby
make the following bye-law:
1. (1)
This Bye-law may be cited as the Angling Bye-law No.1022 of 2026.
(2) This Bye-law comes into operation on 3 April 2026.
2. Notwithstanding anything contained in any Bye-law, it is prohibited for a person to use, or attempt to use, worms as
bait or to use, or attempt to use, any fish hooks, other than single or double barbless hooks, in angling for any kind of fish in
the waters of a river mentioned in column (2) of Schedule 1 opposite the mention o f a fishery district in column (1) of that
Schedule.
3. Notwithstanding anything contained in any Bye-law, it is prohibited for a person to use, or attempt to use, worms as
bait or to use, or attempt to use, any fish hooks, other than single or double barble ss hooks, in angling for any kind of fish in
the waters of a river mentioned in column (2) of Schedule 2 opposite mention of a fishery district in column (1) of that Schedule
during the year 2026 from the 3 April to the 31 May.
4. The Angling Bye-law No. 1017, 2024 is revoked.
