ENFORCEMENT OF COURT ORDERS (LEGAL AID)

(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026

These Regulations provide for an increase in the fees payable in

proceedings on a summons under Section 6 (inserted by Section 2 of

the Act of 2009) of the Enforcement of Co urt Orders Act, 1940

(including that section as applied by section 8 (as amended by the said

section 2) of the Act of 1940 as follo ws: 8% with effect from 1 July,

2026.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE (LEGAL AID) (AMENDMENT)

REGULATIONS 2026

These Regulations provide for a fee of €520 to be paid for Criminal

Legal Aid cases in the District Court an d, in certain instances, a fee

of €80 to be paid in respect of bench warrants, and an increase of 8%

in separate Criminal Legal Aid fees in the District Court from 1 July

2026.

EUROPEAN UNION (MONEY LAUNDERING AND

TERRORIST FINANCING) (ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS)

REGULATIONS 2026

The Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, in exercise of the

powers conferred on him by section 3 of the European Communities Act

1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive

(EU) 2024/1640 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May

2024 on the mechanisms to be put in place by Member States for the

prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money

laundering or terrorist fi nancing, amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937,

and amending and repealing Directive (EU)2015/849, has made the

regulations as entitled above.

These Regulations provide the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and

Migration, who is a competent authority under the Criminal Justice

(Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010, with the power to

impose administrative financial sanctions on Trust or Company Service

Providers for breaches of anti-money laundering obligations contained in

the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act

2010.
