EUROPEAN UNION (NET-ZERO INDUSTRY ACT)

REGULATIONS 2026

The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke,

T.D., in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the

European Communities Act 1972 (No 27 of 1972), has made

Regulations that may be cited as the European Union (Net-Zero

Industry Act) Regulations 2026.

These Regulations give further effect to Regulation (EU) 2024/1735

of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 2024 on

establishing a framework of measures for strengthening Europe’s net-

zero technology manufacturing ecosystem and amending Regulation

(EU) 2018/1724 by clarifying the authorities responsible for

discharging the relevant obligations in Ireland under the Act.

amended by section 4 of the Solicitors (Amendment) Act 2002 (No.

19 of 2002)) o f the Solicitors Act 1954, with the concurrence of the

Legal Services Regulatory Authority, h as made the above

Regulations.
