Man arrested for allegedly driving horse drawn carriage while intoxicated

The man was stopped by gardai from Bridewell on suspicion of driving the carriage while under the influence. They quickly charged him

"He was charged under S6 (1) of Road Traffic Act," they said on Twitter, "and has now appeared before the courts."

This is not the only horse-related incident gardai have had to deal with recently. Yesterday they also reported a fatal traffic collision involving a car and a stray horse.
