MERCHANT SHIPPING FEES (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2008 |

I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 31 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1992 (No. 2 of 1992), and the Maritime Transport, Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 842 of 2005 ), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows: |
1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Fees (Amendment) Order 2008. |
2. Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order 1998 ( S.I. No. 475 of 1998 ) is amended in paragraph 1.8 by inserting, “where the renewal survey relates to a certificate for a period of more than 30 days,” after “provided that”. |

This Order amends the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order 1998 ( S.I. No. 475 of 1998 ) relating to the minimum fee for the grant of a passenger certificate for up to 30 days duration. |
