MERCHANT SHIPPING FEES (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2008

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd October, 2008.

I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 31 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1992 (No. 2 of 1992), and the Maritime Transport, Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 842 of 2005 ), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Fees (Amendment) Order 2008.

2. Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order 1998 ( S.I. No. 475 of 1998 ) is amended in paragraph 1.8 by inserting, “where the renewal survey relates to a certificate for a period of more than 30 days,” after “provided that”.

This Order amends the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order 1998 ( S.I. No. 475 of 1998 ) relating to the minimum fee for the grant of a passenger certificate for up to 30 days duration.
