Met Eireann confirm end of heat spell for Dublin as low pressure to blast Ireland

Dublin will enjoy two more days of warm and dry weather before heavy showers will hit. Today will start off dull with isolated patches of drizzle

It will become brighter and drier in the afternoon with sunny spells developing and an isolated shower. Temperatures will be of 19 to 21 degrees.

Tonight will be dry and clear but will turn a little cloudier towards dawn. Temperatures will be of 12 and 13 degrees.

Tomorrow will see a cloudy start to the day with isolated patches of light rain and drizzle. But it will become drier and brighter during the afternoon with sunny spells.

Temperatures will be of 19 to 21 degrees. While there is no further forecast for Dublin, here is what the national outlook says:

Thursday night

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "A cloudy night with patchy rain and drizzle, turning more persistent in the west and southwest towards morning. Mild with temperatures not falling below 10 to 14 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze.

Friday

"A dull and wet day with outbreaks of showery rain spreading across the country from the west, turning heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
