The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-

The respondent conceded that a genuine redundancy situation existed resulting in the termination of the appellant's employment with the respondent company. Accordingly, the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria:

24 th April 1974

Date of Commencement:

21 st January 2005

Date of Termination:

30 th April 2010

Gross Pay:

€720.00

This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the relevant Social Welfare Acts.

It should be noted that a statutory weekly ceiling of €600.00 applies to payments from the Social Insurance Fund.
