The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation has published the Industrial Relations (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill 2011. The objective of the Bill is to reform the existing system for making of both Employment Regulation Orders (ERO) and Registered Employment Agreements (REA).

The provisions in the Bill meet a number of key commitments to the EU/IMF Programme of Financial Support for Ireland aimed at structural reforms to the labour market and build on the recommendations of the Report of the Independent Review of the Employment Regulation Orders and Registered Employers Agreements Wage Setting Mechanisms.
