I, Séamus Brennan, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 (No. 12 of 2002) and the National Roads and Road Traffic (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 298 of 2002 ) (as adapted by the Public Enterprise (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 305 of 2002 )), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 2002 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2002. 2. The 1st day of January 2003 is fixed as the day on which sections 12 (2) and 18 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 (No. 12 of 2002) come into operation. 3. The 1st day of February 2003 is fixed as the day on which section 15 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 comes into operation.
