I, SHANE ROSS, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (No. 24 of 1961), the National Roads and Road Traffic (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No 298 of 2002 ) and section 44(3) (inserted by section 27 of the Road Traffic Act 2016 (No. 21 of 2016)) of the Road Traffic Act 2010 (No. 25 of 2010) (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 141 of 2011 )), hereby make the following regulations: |
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 2010 (Section 44(3)) (Prescribed Notice) Regulations 2017. |
2. The form of notice set out in the Schedule is the form of notice prescribed for the purposes of section 44(3) (inserted by section 27 of the Road Traffic Act 2016 (No. 21 of 2016)) of the Road Traffic Act 2010 (No. 25 of 2010). |

Payment of Fixed Charge |
1. In respect of the offence alleged in this notice you may, not later than 7 days before the date specified in the summons served with this notice on which the charge is to be heard by the Court on ……………(insert date), pay a fixed charge of €……………..
