SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1974

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 , (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:— 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Sligo County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974.

(2) This Order and the Sligo County Council Order, 1942, may be cited collectively as the Sligo County Council Orders, 1942 and 1974. 2. Article 3 of and the Schedule to the Sligo County Council Order, 1942 are hereby revoked. 3. (1) The County of Sligo shall be divided into the county electoral areas named in the first column of the Schedule to this Order.

(2) Every such county electoral area shall consist of the places set forth in the second column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area.

(3) The number of members of the Council of the County of Sligo to be elected for each such county electoral area shall be the number set forth in the third column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area. 4. Every reference in the Schedule to this Order to a district electoral division or borough shall be construed as referring to such district electoral division or borough as existing at the date of this Order.
