SLIGO, LEITRIM AND NORTHERN COUNTIES RAILWAY (ABANDONMENT) ORDER, 1958.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 110 of the Transport Act, 1944 (No. 21 of 1944), and section 21 of the Transport Act, 1958 (No. 19 of 1958), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway (Abandonment) Order, 1958. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 24th day of September, 1958. 3. The Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company Limited, having applied for an order authorising it to abandon the section of its railway line which is within the State, is hereby authorised to abandon the section.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Order is to enable the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway Company Limited to abandon the section of its railway line in the State in accordance with the provisions of Section 110 of the Transport Act, 1944 .
