Gardai say that road closures will be "staggered" for the national St Patrick's Day parade.

The festivities will begin at 12 noon sharp at Parnell Square, before heading down O'Connell Street and onto the city's southside.

The Republic of Ireland's women's football team will lead the parade, with team manager Vera de Pauw selected as grand marshal.

The parade will conclude at Cuffe Street at around 2pm.
