Statistics (Business Expenditure on Research and Development Survey) Order 2024

I, SIMON HARRIS, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25(1) of the Statistics Act 1993 (No. 21 of 1993) and, in relation to subparagraphs (a) to (h) of paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the following order, for the purpose of giving full effect to Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 1, as amended by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/1704 of 14 July 2021 2, in so far as it relates to Articles 6(1)(b), (1)(c) and (2)(m) thereof, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Business Expenditure on Research and Development Survey) Order 2024.

2. (1) In this Order -

“R&D” means research and development;

“Regulation” means Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 1, as amended by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/1704 of 14 July 2021 2;

“survey” means the Business Expenditure on Research and Development Survey that is conducted by the Central Statistics Office in order to obtain...
