Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 25th February, 2014.

I, Phil Hogan, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (1) of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013), hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (Transfer of Other Liabilities) Order 2014.

2. In this Order—

“water services authority” has the meaning assigned by the Water Services Act 2007 ; and

“Irish Water” is the company formed in accordance with Section 4 of the Water Services Act 2013 .

3. The 21st day of February 2014 is appointed as the day on which all rights and liabilities of a water services authority arising by virtue of the contracts specified in the schedule shall stand transferred in Irish Water.
