Isabella Byrne v Hillgate Publishing Ltd

Claimant worked as accounts clerk with respondent. Conflict arose in evidence as to whether the employer was unduly irritated over the claimant being 10 minutes late on a particular occasion. Other disputes arose over the purchase of a computer to computerise the accounts and moving from a top floor office to a lower located one. A disagreement arose over the respondent's request that she work additional days to answer phones, following which she left. Claimant believed she was dismissed. Tribunal determined dismissal did not take place, case dismissed.
