I, KATHERINE ZAPPONE, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (6) of the Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011 (No. 19 of 2011) and the Child Care (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 488 of 2011 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011 (Commencement) Order 2017.

2. The 31st day of December 2017 is appointed as the day on which the Child Care (Amendment) Act 2011 (No. 19 of 2011), other than sections 3(b), 6, 13(b), (c) and (d), 14(b), 20, 21(b), 23, 24, 25 and 36(1)(a), insofar as it is not already in operation, comes into operation.
