I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act, 1999 (No. 10 of 1999), order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act, 1999 (Part III) (Commencement) Order, 2001.

2. The 1st day of October, 2001, is fixed as the day on which Part III of the Criminal Justice Act, 1999 (No. 10 of 1999), shall come into operation.
