ETHICS IN PUBLIC OFFICE (PRESCRIBED PUBLIC BODIES,
DESIGNATED DIRECTORSHIPS OF PUBLIC BODIES AND
DESIGNATED POSITIONS IN PUBLIC BODIES) (AMENDMENT)
(NO. 3) REGULATIONS 2010
I, BRIAN LENIHAN T.D., Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers
conferred on me by section 3 of, and paragraph 1(13) of the First Schedule to,
the Ethics in Public Office Act 1995 (No. 22 of 1995) and, in relation to each
body, organisation or group prescribed for the purposes of that paragraph by
the following regulations, being of the opinion that, in the public interest and
having regard to the provisions and spirit of that Act, each of them ought to be
prescribed, and after consultation with such other Ministers of the Government
as I consider appropriate, hereby make the following regulations:
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ethics in Public Office
(Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Directorships of Public Bodies and Des-
ignated Positions in Public Bodies) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2010.
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 2011.
2. The Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Direc-
torships of Public Bodies, and Designated Positions in Public Bodies) Regu-
lations 2004 (S.I. No. 699 of 2004) are amended—
(a) by substituting for Regulation 8 the following:
“8. The following are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 1(13)
of the First Schedule to the Act:
(a) Abbey Theatre — Amharclann na Mainistreach;
(b) Urban Partnerships;
(c) Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital Limited;
(d) Chester Beatty Library;
(e) An Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta and Gael-
scolaíochta;
(f) Froebel College of Education, Coláiste Mhuire Marino, Mary
Immaculate College, St. Patrick’s College, St. Angela’s
College Sligo, Church of Ireland College of Education;
(g) Children’s University Hospital;
Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 31st December, 2010.

(h) Coombe Lying-In Hospital;
(i) Crafts Council of Ireland;
(j) Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies;
(k) Economic and Social Research Institute;
(l) Horse Sport Ireland;
(m) Hospital for the Relief of Poor Lying-In Women, Dublin;
(n) Institute of Public Administration;
(o) Irish Heritage Trust Limited;
(p) Irish Horse Board Co-Operative Society Limited;
(q) Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social
Sciences;

and
(b) by substituting for the Schedule the following:
