EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (PROHIBITION OF TRADE WITH THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF YUGOSLAVIA (SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO)) REGULATIONS, 1993.

I, CHARLES McCREEVY, Minister for Tourism and Trade, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving full effect to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 990/93 of 26 April 1993(1), hereby make the following Regulations:

(1)O.J. No. L102/14 of 28 April, 1993. 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Prohibition of Trade with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro)) Regulations, 1993. 2. In these Regulations the "Council Regulations" means Council Regulation (EEC) No. 990/93 of 26 April, 1993. 3. A person shall not contravene a provision of the Council Regulation. 4. A person who, on or after the 4th day of June, 1993, contravenes Regulation 3 of these Regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both. 5. The Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications shall be the competent authority for the purpose of Articles 8 and 9 of the Council Regulation except in so far as the said Article 8 relates...
