Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(3) of the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2023 (No. 33 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024.

2. In this Order, “Act of 2023” means the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2023 (No. 33 of 2023).

3. The 27^th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1, other than section 6;

(b) Part 2, other than section 28;

(c) Part 3;

(d) the Schedule.

4. The 15^th day of June 2024 is appointed as the day on which section 67 of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation.
