The plaintiff was the lessee of office premises in a building in Dame Street, Dublin, in which she had carried on the profession of solicitor. In 1957 the defendants proceeded to enlarge and rebuild portion of their premises which adjoined the plaintiff's offices, nearer to and to a much greater height than formerly. The light which the plaintiff's premises had enjoyed was, as a result of the new building, diminished.
