The plaintiff instituted proceedings in which she claimed damages for personal injuries suffered by her while shopping in the defendants' supermarket. The plaintiff had entered the supermarket and, while she was engaged in getting her requirements, an employee of the supermarket announced that there were special bargains to be obtained at the fruit counter. Following upon this announcement customers proceeded to the fruit counter and while doing this one of the customers in passing struck the plaintiff with a metal trolley supplied by the owners of the supermarket for the convenience of customers.
