I, Mary Harney, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the National Minimum Wage Act, 2000 (No. 5 of 2000), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Minimum Wage Act, 2000 (Commencement) Order, 2000.

2. The 1st day of April, 2000 is hereby appointed as the day on which the National Minimum Wage Act, 2000 (No. 5 of 2000) shall come into operation.
